It is a pale spring evening in Töölö. The snow has retreated into grey heaps along the pavement. A tram groans past, its windows fogged with breath.
On the corner stands a building that has seen better decades. The ground floor is small — a single room, tables placed closer together than good sense would recommend, a radio murmuring near the kitchen.
It has not always been this kind of place. The space had been a sewing shop once, then a watch repairer, then empty for a long winter.
The man who took the lease made very few changes.
But slowly, almost accidentally, the room began to fill.

Step inside and let the outside world fade. Third Place is where handmade pasta, natural wine, and music that actually matters come together without fuss.
We believe great food and culture should feel inviting, not intimidating — whether you're here for a quick bowl or a long, unhurried evening. Every visit is easy-going, full of flavour, and yours to make of what you will..

Start with a few little things for the table — olives, burrata, whatever the kitchen has decided should begin the evening. Then comes the pasta, the real reason everyone is here.
Bowls of handmade noodles, quietly admired for a moment before the table goes silent. Add a pizzetta if the mood calls for it.
Some guests stop for a quick bowl and a glass of wine. Others assemble a slow parade of plates until the table looks pleasantly overcrowded.
Both are perfectly acceptable ways to do it..

Book a table
We always keep a few tables aside for the spontaneous types. Feel free to wander in, or give us a quick call and we'll happily tell you how the evening is looking.
Tables are set aside for about two hours — enough time for pasta, wine, and something sweet. Groups of more than eight, drop us a note at hello@thirdplace.fi.
The kitchen runs until 21:00 Wed–Thu, and 23:00 Fri–Sat. The bar and music carry on a while after.
